Judgemeadow Culture Day

Judgemeadow held it's first ever Culture day on Friday 1st April

On Friday 1st of April we celebrated Culture Day at Judgemeadow. One of the best things about our school is the wide range of cultures represented in our children, parents and staff, and we wanted to show off our amazing diversity with a full day of celebrations!

During that week the Key Stage 3 classes had a special lesson based around Culture Day. We changed our menu for the day to sell Caribbean Style food and sold samosas at breaktime.

The best part of the day was that our students were taken on a journey round the world from the comfort of their school. Especially, with music as students and staff put on mini shows during break and lunch time. And yes, some students were definitely showing off their dancing moves!

Judgemeadow's corridors were a sea of colours and sparkles as our students walked around. Some students wanted to show off their outfits of the day so we arranged a fashion show. Please see the video below of the joy and colourful outfits of our students.

The Year 11's were treated to a Culture Day Show where they watched the presentations of students sharing the story of their culture and heritage. Of course, we had our runway presentation which celebrated our diverse culture at Judgemeadow and we cheered on our Bollywood Dancers.

“We are very proud of our cultural diversity and we enjoyed learning about different cultures” Year 7 student

“Such vibes today, best day ever at Judgemeadow!” Year 9 student

“Thank you to all teachers for putting on this amazing day for us! We absolutely loved every minute of it!” Year 11 student
