Extra Curricular Activities

Judgemeadow is proud of the large, varied programme of extra curricular activities available to enrich the experience of our students.

Educational Trips and Visits

During a student’s five years at Judgemeadow a range of trips and visits will be available.  The detail of these will change from year to year, but we aim to make very many opportunities available to students both for day trips and residential visits.

Students are encouraged to take part in after school language practice sessions with native speakers in French, German, Gurjarati, Panjabi and Spanish. Judgemeadow has links with schools in Strasbourg, France and Schwalmtal, Germany, and there are regular exchange visits between students of those schools and Judgemeadow.

Drama, Music and Performance

We are especially proud of the opportunities we offer youngsters.  All students are invited to take part in musical activities, for example, orchestra, choir, Jazz Club. There is a weekly Drama Club, and Judgemeadow students have participated in local drama festivals and have performed at the Curve. Students have the opportunity to perform in annual ‘shows’ which have been greatly enjoyed by parents and the College community. Students are rehearsing at the moment for ‘The Spring Show' - a celebration of drama and music due to take place on 28thMarch. Groups of students have the opportunity to visit the theatre and concerts.

Sport and Fitness

In addition to our taught physical education we compete locally in a variety of sports.  Students are encouraged to join in additional activities chosen from a very full range, including football, netball, rugby, cricket and basketball. The College has excellent facilities for use in and out of lessons. These include a large Sports Hall, fitness suite and exceptional outdoor pitches and facilities, including an all-weather rubber crumb football pitch. Departments run after-school revision sessions for Year 11 students and also revision classes during the Easter holiday - students should ask their subject teacher for details.
