Bina Ghelani
Looking back on her time at Judgemeadow Community College, Bina Ghelani remembers it as a time of growth, connection, and inspiration. "I absolutely loved my time at Judgemeadow," Bina shares. "I made lifelong friends, and although I don’t see them often, we’re still in touch."She discovered a passion for English and Drama during her school years that shaped her career journey. With the support of teachers at Judgemeadow, Bina gained the confidence to explore interests and choose options that matched her aspirations. Her first job came directly from the work experience opportunity provided by Judgemeadow—a stepping-stone that set her career in motion.
Bina went on to complete her studies at sixth form and university before embarking on a successful career in London, where she worked for over eight years. Now back in Leicester, she is a Digital Media Officer for Leicestershire Police, creating digital content for the force’s website and social media platforms. "No two days are ever the same," she says, describing her dynamic role.
For Bina, her greatest professional achievement is knowing that her work makes a difference to others. Personally, her greatest joy is her children, who inspire her every day.
Judgemeadow's supportive environment and strong emphasis on career preparation played a key role in her journey. From work experience to classroom lessons, Bina credits her school with giving her the tools to thrive in a career that blends creativity and purpose.
