Science

We aim to develop the key skills that students need in order to be successful in science, whilst encouraging their natural curiosity about the world around them.

We aim to ensure that students enjoy their learning in KS3 so that they feel confident in their ability to succeed at KS4. Practical work and the use of evidence in science form an integral part of our curriculum so that students can appreciate how scientists have arrived at our modern understanding of the universe.

 

Science teaching facilities

We have 7 well equipped laboratories and 4 classrooms, all equipped with an Interactive White Board. The break out area houses tropical fish and exhibits. The area provides space to work independently or meet with teachers.

Science

The course is designed to teach students the key concepts and skills they will need for future studies and to instil a sense of awe and wonder about the universe.  Students will study all three science disciplines, biology, chemistry and physics.
